The Co-creation Hub Nigeria are seeking African innovators living in the United Kingdom to apply to its diaspora challenge. TheY are seeking business ideas that make an impact in these 3 critical sectors – Education, Fintech and Energy.

For the education challenge, they looking for innovators to answer the question: How might we harness the potential of technology to bridge the education gap and unlock the potential of the young people of Africa?

For the fintech challenge, they are looking for innovators to answer the question: How might we connect the unserved and underserved population in Africa to affordable financial services using readily available technology?

For the energy challenge, they are looking for innovators to address the question: How might we use technology to effectively distribute clean and affordable energy to homes & industries across Africa?

The first six finalists will benefit from prototype funding of up to $15,000 for their idea, business advisory, market access and network, mentoring and potential access to seed investment of up to $250,000 from Growth Capital.

To be eligible, your idea in any of these 3 areas must solve a clear problem/issue that affects a large number of people in Africa or improve on an existing process/solution or is it completely new i.e. hasn’t been done locally, your your must solution leverage digital technology (web or mobile) for its execution, and you are prepared to spend the next nine (9) months building the solution and going out to understand your potential uses among other criteria.
